It stems from the narratives of the locals, the myths, history, or myth-history, the soundscapes, in the context of ethnomusicology fieldwork. It is the myth of an Ethnography and for this reason it was named by its creator "An Ethnographic Fairy Tale". The Myth then of a myth which became a "Paramythi" (A Fairy Tale) in order to embody the context and the atmosphere of a place (space) together with its songs "making" in this way a new "context" that is not the same as the one that existed at the unknown (to us) moment of their creation. But still contemporary... "The Old Castle" is a bilingual (Greek with English subtitles) local production presented at two local Festivals, in China and Thailand. Μια ηχογράφηση γύρω στο 1990, όταν ο γιος μου, Πέτρος, ήταν περίπου 8 ετών. Έγινε στο πρώτο μου στούντιο, με "φτωχά" μέσα ηχογράφησης και μοντάζ, αλλά με πολύ κέφι! Το αφιερώνω με πολλή αγάπη στους μικρούς μας φίλους, αλλά και στους μεγάλους που θέλουν για λίγο να ξαναγίνουν παιδιά! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ο "Πέτρος και ο Λύκος" γράφτηκε από τον Προκόφιεφ ως ένα μουσικό παραμύθι με αφηγητή. Πρεμιέρα στο Παιδικό Θέατρο της Μόσχας, το 1936. Οι απείθαρχοι ήρωες, κατά περίεργο τρόπο, ήταν πάντα αγαπητοί από τα παιδιά, στα παραμύθια όπου παρουσιάζονταν. Το ίδιο συμβαίνει και με τον Πέτρο σ΄ αυτό το ρωσικό παραμύθι. Η μουσική γράφτηκε από τον Προκόφιεφ για να συνοδεύει όχι το τραγούδι, αλλά την αφήγηση. Μάλιστα, το έργο αυτό είναι το πιο χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα μίμησης των χαρακτήρων του έργου από τα όργανα της ορχήστρας: το φλάουτο κάνει το πουλί, το όμποε την πάπια, το κλαρινέτο τη γάτα, τα έγχορδα το μικρό Πέτρο. Το ηθικό δίδαγμα; «Δεν γίνεσαι ήρωας χωρίς να εκτεθείς σε κινδύνους».

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore (traducibile come I fantastici libri volanti di Mr. Morris Lessmore) è un cortometraggio animato. William Joyce ne è il direttore insieme a Brandon Oldenburg, oltre ad esserne lo scrittore; è stato creato dal Moonbot Studios di Shreveport, Louisiana. Vincitore del Premio Oscar nel 2012 come miglior cortometraggio d'animazione. Trama Mr. Morris Lessmore sta tranquillamente scrivendo un libro sul balcone di un hotel, quando un'enorme tempesta spazza via case e persone. Nella confusione cerca di tenere in salvo il libro: ci riesce ma tutte le lettere sono state portate via. Finita la tempesta tutto diventa senza colori. Inizia a camminare e per una via di campagna incontra una ragazza sospesa in aria da dei libri volanti. Anche Mr. Morris cerca di far volare il proprio libro, fallendo. La ragazza manda uno dei suoi a guidarlo: lo porterà in una casa (dove riprenderà il colore) piena di libri volanti di cui inizierà a prendersi cura. C'è però un libro molto vecchio che si sfascia davanti ai suoi occhi: cerca di rilegarlo e aggiustarlo ma non sembra comunque dare segni di vita. Inizia allora a leggerlo, riuscendo a salvarlo. Intanto passano i giorni e lui ricomincia da capo il libro che stava scrivendo, mentre diventa il nuovo bibliotecario della città: ogni volta che dà un libro ad una persona, questa ritorna a colori. Ormai diventato anziano, finisce il libro e andando verso l'uscio della casa viene avvolto da un turbine di libri: torna giovane e spicca il volo con i suoi libri volanti (come la ragazza dell'inizio). Quello che ha scritto va ad accogliere una nuova persona (un'altra ragazza) che prenderà il suo posto. Nell'ultima scena compare la foto di Mr. Morris sulla parete della casa insieme a quella dei suoi predecessori.
